When you elect one of the Wendy’s medical plans, you will automatically receive prescription drug benefits administered by CVS Caremark. Prescription drugs fall into two categories:

Preventive Drugs help prevent disease if you show early warning signs. An example is medication you take to keep blood pressure under control.

Non-Preventive Drugs, such as antibiotics, are prescribed to treat illnesses.

CVS Broad Vaccine Network

All employees and dependents enrolled in a Wendy’s medical plan have access to CVS’ Broad Vaccine Network. This enhancement will allow enrolled employees to obtain CDC-recommended vaccines and flu shots at more than 68,000 convenient retail network pharmacies nationwide, including CVS Pharmacy locations. CVS Maintenance Choice Program

If you take maintenance medications that are eligible for a 90-day supply, you’ll automatically be enrolled in the CVS Maintenance Choice program. This program allows you to receive a 90-day supply of your maintenance medication at a lower cost by picking it up at a CVS pharmacy location or by receiving it via mail order. CVS will mail more information on this program to eligible members.
